BEWARE NH and VERMONT

This ad is listed in the VT and NH Craigslist

Wanted Horse
Looking for a horse to take a 250lb rider and /or taking in horses that need a place to call home.

A horse that can carry that weight is a BIG horse. Lots of meat!
The person must have lots of money to burn, if they can take in horses that need homes.

Wonder if Home is Heaven?

Horse Needs Home

I am desperately looking to place my horse after 8 yrs of ownership.
I have an Arab/Quarter horse mare. She will be 20 this spring however, still acts like she's 6.
I lost my barter/board deal last summer & this horse has been homeless since December 2010. She is at my friend's house with her 3 at the moment. However, my friend's horse just ate the temp shelter I had for her....ugh!
I have used this horse for trail riding. She goes english or western. I've ridden her western. I believe this horse was abused at some point in her life as it took her 2 yrs to trust me. She has come a long way since I've had her. Loves people, I've given pony rides with little kids on her & had teenagers ride her.
She is 14.2 h. Small but fast! I would suggest an intermediate rider...she is a FUN horse!
She will buck if you don't let her go as fast as she wants and needs a firm rider. It is basically a protest!
As many other horse owners...unfortunately I cannot afford to keep her. She is an easy keeper & has only been on hay this winter.
I need to find her a good home ASAP as her shelter got eaten:(
She has good feet and is good with farrier, vet. She's been shoed hot, cold and gone barefoot.
References would be appreciated,.

I get at least 2 emails a week regarding horses needing homes. It is so sad to read the descriptions of the horses. What chance do they have of ever finding placement. Another older horse with limited training.
Can't the owner get another temporary shelter? A portable car port is around $100, and she can just keep her horse and shelter seperate from her friends horse. I think she just wants to get rid of the horse, as she has limited funds.

Cripple Calf Needs Home

Free
Handicapped black and white female calf born in april. Crushed pelvis limits mobility. She can move around slowly. Eats hay. Used to living in a horse barn, not outside.

This poor 10 month old Holstein heifer has stood inside a barn eating hay for its entire short life.
Need I say more?
If you live in VT please get this calf and contact me. I will send the money to have it humanely euthanized by a veterinarian.

Help me find my horse--

Left for college in the Fall of 2009. Gave my Morgan mare to someone with the agreement she would be taken care of, and would not be leaving that location.   Horse is no longer at that location, and ifo on the mare’s whereabouts will not be given.

I can guarantee that mare was leaving for Canada, before you starting packing for college.
I don't care what "contracts and agreements" are signed when giving away or selling your horse. Once that horse is off your property there isn't a damn thing you can do!!

Ad #2-VT Same Owner as the First Ad

We are giving away this brown and white Rocky Mountain Horse/Paint 8 year old, gelding free to a good home. *** is a rescue horse so he doesnt have great manners. He needs someone to be one on one with and to bond with. He is blind in his left eye from a recent erupted ulcer. It has been treated and it should not worsen in the future. **** can be lead around but he is not completely groundbroke. He is not broke to be ridden yet either. He is to go with a contract for life to insure that if you can not care for, keep him etc. he is to come back to us free of charge. This is so that he does not end up in a bad situation as he was in previously.

Poor  manners because he is a rescue horse? Blind in one eye. Hasn't been trained to be ridden? Not completely groundbroke.
Wants him to go with a contract to insure he is cared for in the future. I'm sorry to tell you, but that poor gelding will be long gone, before you can even find your lawyers phone number!

I have a fleabitten white arabian, 18 year old mare. She is in great condition. She is not trained to be ridden but has excellent manners. I rescued her a year ago from a bad situation where someone had 20 horses to be shipped to slaughter. I rescued a few of them. I want to be able to train this mare but I really can not have any thing to do with her. . I want to find this mare a really GREAT HOME! ! ! Possibly where someone can train this mare or have her as an amazing pasture mate. She is a great acting horse out in the pasture. I want HER TO GO TO A GOODDDDD HOMMMMMEEEEE!!!! I live in ***** with this mare so please call or text me.  thanks!:)

What is a fleabitten white horse? It doesn't matter that she is an Arabian. She is an 18 year old UNTRAINED horse!
When you "rescued" this mare, all you did was move it from one bad situation to another. The only person that is going to want this mare is Joe Kill-Buyer, who will give it a home in Canada! Do the poor mare a favor and have it euthanized by a vet. Don't have the money? Work-out a payment plan with the vet. It costs about the same to humanely euthanize a horse, as a months feed. If this horse is boarded, you could probably afford a funeral with pall-bearers!
